[edit]I fixed the comments so they should be working again. Wheee.

Hi. I’m still alive… But my computer is not. Sigh sigh. It keeps shutting down on me, just like that without any warning, over and over again. I thought I got the problem fixed about two weeks ago but now it has returned like a disease that won’t go away. My housemate Ed likes to call it “pooft”, coz that’s the sound that it makes on every shutdown. Haha. :( So that cuts down on my online activities by a ton.. Now that the weekend’s here and I’m back home, I’m using my dad’s laptop for some badly needed dosage of the internet. And also for updating this blog, coz it’s been left to collect dust for a tad too long, yeah?

June is going to mark the beginning of my last year in university, and I’ll be a senior by then. That’s so fast. Too fast. It makes me reflect back on the earlier days of being here in MMU, and wonder what I’ll take with me after graduation. One thing’s for sure, university is definitely a memorable time. Y’know - the faces you met, the smiles exchanged, the tears shed, the people who you loved and the people who loved you, the hellos and goodbyes, and everything else in between. Oh, and I’m sure there are stuff that I learned in classes that will stick on too.. maybe.. haha.

So yeah. June. I’m looking forward to it anyway.. Coz that’s when I’ll be starting my 4-month industrial training, which is a compulsory subject for my course. I don’t expect being an intern will be any easier than studying, plus it’ll probably be without pay from the employer. But I welcome the change of environment. :) Life’s a constant series of changes anyway, so why fear it, right? It’ll be good to get away from the university for a while, that I do believe.

Though swamped with assignments and a dozen other things that need to be done, I decided to steal some time away this evening for Darren’s 21st birthday party. I’ve known this guy since we were 12 (which is not something I can claim with many people), and though nowadays we only meet up “once in a thousand years”, as he puts it, I guess he’s still one of the closest friends I have till this day? Hmm. He knows way too many of my secrets, yikes, but it’s okay coz I know plenty of his too. Heh heh. It’s funny how he didn’t invite anyone from his college, only high school friends. We were talking and we agreed, there’s just something about friends who grew up together with you, at the same place where you’re from, that you won’t find in friends that you make in college or university later. It’s different, I guess. Anyways.. good party. Lotsa food, including bags of marshmallows that we roasted over the barbecue grill. Darren fed us to the point of near stomach exploding. I am staying away from anything that’s edible for the rest of the weekend. ;)

Oh and belatedly -

Constantine rocks. Keanu Reeves rocks. When’s the sequel coming out? :P

moral lesson of the week
Posted on Sat, February 5th, 2005 @ 12:27 am

Okay I feel the need to mention my Moral And Ethics class again here… The lecturer shared some, err, moving stuff with us today… About how women are always used solely on sex, that sort of thing. He was saying how he knew this one woman who’s been selling her body at Jalan Raja Laut for years.. and another lady who was a mistress to a Datuk and now she’s getting old and she’s lonely without any proper family… Yeah so the bottom line was:

“Don’t trust men. At all.”

That came straight from my lecturer’s mouth himself. A man. D’oh. That was a tiny bit funnier than the jokes he tries to crack in class from time to time. Heh. :P

Hm. I wanna update the songs section but I’m on my dad’s laptop right now. My own computer keeps dying on me, constantly shutting down without warning.. so it’s off to the repair shop tomorrow, possibly to get a new power suply unit. I dunno, I’m not exactly a tech expert. But yeah, poor baby. Hope it gets well soon. ;(
