So yeahh, bet you’re surprised to see an actual update on this dusty old abandoned blog, huh? :D
Well what can I say… Just for tonight, I stepped back into the habit of writing a post at an ungodly hour, close to 4AM right now… Gone are those days, when I was still in MMU and my bedtime was usually 5 or 6AM… Hahaha.
Okie, as promised, some visual display of my new hair… It’s not the best picture to show, but there’ll be more in the near future as soon as I get the photos from the camera owners. For now though, just settle with the one below all rite? :)

BEFORE - Taken at Prince Cafe with Jeen and Lun

AFTER - Tada! The result of a haircut, perm, and treatment session at Moonsoon-id
What do you think? For me it’s definitely a change, which was what I was looking for anyway. So no complaints from me there. :D
On to other news.. I was supposed to be at Hong’s place for a BBQ party in celebration of her birthday tonight. Arghh, I felt so bad for not being able to make it in the end. ;( Hope everyone had a blast anyway! Instead, I was at Hartamas for another dear friend’s birthday, Yun Hui. I’ve known this girl since we were in the same class back in Standard 6. Wow, that’s 11 years of friendship…! :)
As usual, it was great catching up with the usual high school people… And this time, Yun Hui brought along her boyfriend, Manson. Same goes for Li Wen, whose boyfriend, Nicholas, joined us. It was a bubbly, nonstop talking group of 10 of us.
Now, here comes the really interesting part - as it turned out, Manson knew an ex-boyfriend of mine! Coz we were talking about Kajang, where Manson was from, and a name came up which got me thinking, “Oh hey, that’s my ex’s name. Hmm wait, didn’t he go to school in Kajang before? I wonder…?!” Then by throwing around a few more familiar names, we realized the connection and that we were indeed talking about the same person.
Goshh, it really is a small world. I never would have expected to have a friend in common with Yun Hui’s boyfriend, whom I’ve always heard about but thought of as some distant, faraway vague figure with no connection to me at all. And what got us all laughing even more was that earlier on, it was already known that Manson and Hui Chin (another girl in the group) had some mutual friends, like a person who was Manson’s school mate and Hui Chin’s college mate. So freakyy, LoL
A while later, I got my second (mild) shock when we were grilling Li Wen and Nicholas to tell us their story, of how they met, how they got started as a couple, and all that jazz. Coz halfway through, Nicholas said to me, “Actually I have you to thank, coz you played a part in getting me and Li Wen together.” I just blinked in confusion, as I was pretty sure that was the first time I’d met Nicholas, so how exactly could I have been involved in any way at all??
Well I soon found out, that I forgot he was there during an outing at Laundry Bar last year with Li Wen and a few other people. :P And after that, during Christmas eve I was at Ruums and we bumped into Li Wen on the way in. Li Wen, who’d just came out from Thai Club, decided to join us for a while. Then apparently Nicholas was at Ruums too, and he said he caught sight of me which got him to wonder if Li Wen was with me at Ruums as well. What he decided to do was to send a text message to Li Wen, and they met up, and from there things started to happen. Haha, it was so funny of Nicholas to thank me just for that. *slaps forehead*
It certainly had been an enlightening night, with good food at the Meat Market and drinks at Wong Kok after that. But I get the feeling I must’ve overdosed on tea - this is not the first time - and now I can’t sleep! Oh no.
I think I’m going to go and try counting some sheep, or cows, or something. Until the next update ya… G’nite everyone. :)
