it’s a typical scene and i’m biting on my tonguePosted on Fri, July 24th, 2009 @ 4:44 pm
It’s been a s-l-o-w Friday.
But on a happier note, I’m a mere 5 minutes away from the weekend. Whee. Tonight I’ll be meeting up with Duncan (who’s back from Africa) and the other MMU people, it’s been awhile! :P
And hopefully, there’ll be alcohol at some point this weekend. Heh heh.

omg like whoaPosted on Thu, July 23rd, 2009 @ 1:28 pm
So I’ve been tearing my hair out trying to figure out a viewing problem for certain pages on this blog…
… And finally I gave up.
The end.
Haha no, just kidding! There’s more.
So Ivan offered to take a look at the Wordpress codes, and within 2 minutes he provided me with the solution that unlocked the deep mystery of the universe - erm, I mean to say the annoying bug got fixed, that is. :D
I can finally sleep in peace again, ahahah. The kink has been bothering me like crazy, you won’t even believe it. But it’s all good now.
So in honor of this occasional web genius (heheh), I have decided to build a shrine to his name.

Of course it’s a virtual one, to be in line with the Internetz theme ;)
Hope you like it, Ivan! :D

destination anywherePosted on Tue, July 21st, 2009 @ 4:49 pm
My feet are itching to travel once again.
Aruba?
Jamaica?
Bermuda?
Bahamas?
Key Largo?
Montego?
Kokomo?
… Okay okay, in light of the current economic downturn (both global and personal), I’d settle for just a local holiday. :) Anyone?
Hui Zhi mentioned going sailing somewhere on the coast of Terengganu. That’ll be something worth checking out I think, whee.
The high school people were also discussing Christmas plans the other night. Hehe talk about planning way in advance.
So I was getting quite excited and caught up in the conversation, until I realized with a smack on my forehead, “I won’t be around on Christmas this year!”
Yes it’s true. I’ll be away from Malaysia during Christmas for the first time. Sighy. It got me a little sad to think that I won’t be able to celebrate with familiar faces at a familiar place :(
… But on the bright side, I’ll be Christmas-ing in Hong Kong! :D :D

memoir #3Posted on Thu, July 16th, 2009 @ 4:00 pm
Listening to John Mayer always transports me to years back, when he was a new name in the music industry and everyone would smile knowingly to his song, Your Body Is A Wonderland.
That particular New Year’s Eve, a friend of ours popped in John Mayer’s Room For Squares CD - “you guys HAVE to listen to this guy, he’s amazing” - and it looped endlessly from the first song to the last and back to the first, throughout the car ride to catch fireworks in the city.
Despite the joyful nature of the occasion, I was wrapped in a horribly foul mood, and you of course, noticed and kept nudging at me to cheer up.
Then the clock struck midnight, and the text messages bearing Happy New Year wishes came flooding in. My phone beeped, and the inbox showed your name.
The actual words of the text message escape me now, but it basically told me not to be so moody and to look forward to a brand new year with you and our other buddies. The SMS was very wordy, very naggy, with a pinch of impatience, and a large dose of affectionate charm all over.
And under the sparks and explosions in the sky, I finally smiled.
Am I living it right…
Am I living it right…
Why, Georgia why?

Memoirs
a sickening love storyPosted on Mon, July 13th, 2009 @ 5:55 pm
Once upon a time, Mr Flu was floating around with some dust mites when he met an irresistable specimen named Miss Sore Throat.
Within seconds, they decided to get married and after a brief bout of house-hunting, Mr Flu and Miss Sore Throat settled down on a piece of land called Isobel.
They did many naughty things and produced several offsprings - the eldest was Epic Cough, the middle one was Just Your Average Nausea, and the youngest being Li’l Dizzy.
Now, Mr Flu’s favorite season was winter but his lady Miss Sore Throat liked the summer.
They had a typical husband-and-wife argument, and finally agreed on a compromise - they will each get their preferred temperature at a five-minute interval.
So from then onwards, Isobel was hot-cold-hot-cold-hot-cold.. you get the drift.
And everyone lived happily, sickly ever after.
THE END.
(As you can tell, falling sick on a monthly basis doesn’t sit quite well with me, and my mind is voicing its protest in strange ways. Blehs.)

Dreams are such curious things. Experts say it’s a product of your subconscious, but sometimes I really wonder what my subconscious is trying to tell me.
Take last night’s episode.
So I dreamt of an alien invasion. But it felt like my mind was screening a typical Hollywood blockbuster – it had panic, mayhem, explosions, gripping moments… but sadly there was no happy ending coz the aliens defeated our human race in the end and we were made prisoners.. boohoo :P
When I mentioned my weird dream, Chris had one to share of his own.
Chris: I had this random dream where we were enrolled in this wedding training course thing…
me: Hahaha it’s starting to sound strange already.
C: Yeah yeah, with proper clothes and all. There were other couples around too.
me: Ooooh..
C: Anyway I was late coz I took too long to pick a tuxedo suit and when I finally arrived, your face was really fierce!
me: Well yeah of course, coz you were late!
C: Yeah you were giving me the look you always do when I did something to make you mad.
me: Haha -_-”
Ahahah okay so I think his dream out-weirded mine by a mile. You win! :D
